TRUE. It can happen only in India. Perfect example of an Imperfect Administration. Three cheers to Anbumani Ramadoss who after a long turf war with director P.Venugopal finally agreed to sign the degrees of the young doctors whose careers are yet to begin. It is indeed unfortunate that to our leaders egos matters more than the welfare of the Nation and its citizens.
Only after the High courts order Ramadoss argument was declared null and void. According to him the reason for not signing the degrees of the students was that the certificates were signed by the registrar Agarwala whose appointment was not sure. And if it is set aside, the degrees would become invalid. But the slap by the court taught Ramadoss to think wisely and explained that in no way degrees would be considered invalid, it is the argument that is invalid.
It is ridiculous how the youth of India is treated by the politicians. And god forbid if the court does not comes to the rescue what will happen to our country? And then politicians express their agony against the legal measures taken by the legislature. It is high time Ramadoss should pay attention to the position he is responsible for rather than engaging into such gibberish. Instead of improving and maintain standards of the premier institute of the country, he is resuming to activities like disrespecting doctors of stature ; p.Venugopal, and adopting an apathetic attitude towards the students. I hope this helps Ramadoss to improve his mental state of mind which seems to be disturbed.
